Just returned from orientation at Actors' Work Program, through The Actors' Fund. I've used this group in the past -- they paid for my ESL training so I could work during the long 2000 strike. And they're terrific. I'm glad I went.
Remember the Dell 'dude' from the commercials about 10 years ago? He was there. So was the woman who replaced me at PPAS as the Voice and Speech Teacher! We had lots to talk about, and she weighed in on the contract holder (middleman/agent) who would also be holding my contract at Talent Unlimited, as 'smarmy". Wow was that a timely reality-check.
I signed up for a QuickBooks course (Debbye), I've been given my own career counselor, and they offer services for starting a business (Joyce).
